Klarides Congratulates Young, Award-Winning Woodbridge Filmmaker

HARTFORD — Amity Regional High School senior Jake Honig got a nod today from state legislators for his documentary film “Invincible,” which covers the subject of teen driving. Woodbridge resident HonigĀ chatted with Rep. Themis Klarides outside the House chamber and gave her the low-down on the movie placing emphasis on speeding teenagers. Honig said the death of two classmates last spring influenced his decision to choose the subject for this class project. His film won “Best in Festival” at the 2009 Amity Film Festival. You can view the trailer here. In the movie, Honig poses a simple question: “Do you speed?” Students respond to the query, and Honig mixes that footage with clips of school administrators and law enforcement officials. Pictured above, from left, are Rep. Paul Davis, Klarides, Honig, Rep. David Scribner and Rep. Tony Guerrera.
